Globe Style Advisor
Globe Style Advisor is The Globe and Mail’s guide to inspired living. Published six times a year, the magazine and weekly style section connects fashion, beauty, food, design, and travel to celebrate the appreciation for craft and innovation that defines Canadian luxury.
As a freelance designer on the team, I supported Art Director, Ben MacDonald with the design and production of the magazine and weekly newspaper; contributed to the 2018 magazine refresh, and brought key editorial features to life with motion graphics.

Fashion Editor, Odessa Paloma Parker’s weekly report on noteworthy trends. The Buzz was more than a test of my close cropping abilities, but an exercise in quickly balancing imagery with a nod to the trend in the background.

Globe Style Advisor Redesign Essentials
Essentials 2018 redesign introduces frames, colour and imagery to bring structure and hierarchy to the content.
Globe Style Advisor Redesign Omnibus
Each issue opens with Omnibus, a section that profiles the new and noteworthy from inspiring designers alongside the season’s trends, from beauty to home décor, and fashionable attendees at notable events. The 2018 redesign introduces a background colour and architectural framing to distinguish itself from other sections of the magazine.
As a part of the Travel issue, Hidden Canada is an annual guide to Canada's undiscovered places. The 2018 edition included illustrations by Alanna Cavanagh which I animated for the magazine's digital applications. View the live site.
Extending the life of the feature beyond print, we added subtle animation techniques to Alanna Cavanagh's illustration and a consistent narrative format for social media.
